Studying Public Management
I am not really sure when I decided to become a public manager, since I was at school I realized that I like the themes about the goverment and the administration of the state. In the 2016, the year after I finished school I was shure that the way I wanted to joined the public administration was studying laws, but when I started the career a was shure that I do not wanted to study laws, so I retired of the university and gave me some time to think about where my vocation was. So that's the way I discovered Public Management, I knew a guy that had studied it and he convenced me to take the decision of study the career.
The things that motivated me the most were the oportunities of contribute to generate real changes for the population of the country, and with the guy that convenced me I talked a lot about how was the career to be shure that i wanted to be here and no somewhere else.
University of Chile was not my first option, my first option was politic science at the Universidad Catolica, but only because it was very near to my house, I can't make it but I was equally happy of been here.
At the first day I discovered that I love the career, I had found a lot of friends and enjoyed every class. I think that my favorite subjet at the moment was Introduction to Public management because it explain the begining and the most important thing about this career. although it does not relate with the fundamentals of public management I thing that the most significant thing I have learned was to use Excel and Stata because before I enter here I was a nobody working with a computer and now I think I know a lot.
